Kathleen M. Foley

Kathleen M. Foley, 96, of Agawam, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Born in Worcester, MA on June 26, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Dr. George and Harriet Tully. After college, she was the Director of Publicity at UMASS and went on to be a school teacher in Springfield for many years, retiring in 1978. Her husband, Arthur Foley, predeceased her in 2008. She is survived by her 3 children, Arthur Foley (Wendy) of South Carolina, James Foley (Marie) of Springfield, and Kathleen Coates of Colorado; 6 grandchildren, Shaun Foley (Ashley), Sarah Kerrigan (Andy), Bridget Fagan (Michael), Melissa Foley, Christopher Foley (Christine), and Jeffrey Coates; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and 1 sister, Clare Becker. She is also predeceased by 2 siblings, Dr. George Tully and Joan Hetu. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 13th from 5-7 PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam. Her Funeral will begin on Wednesday, June 14th at 9 AM at the funeral home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam.
