John S. Tooker Jr.
1937 – 2017


John Summerfield Tooker, Jr., 80, passed away on September 1, 2017 at home. He was born in Norwalk, CT to the late John Sr. and Norma (Hall) Tooker on August 19, 1937. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1956. He served in the U. S. Airforce during the Vietnam War. After the service he worked in the food industry for the following companies: Morris, Alper in Framingham, MA, Snyder Sales & Service in Belmond, MA, Sweet Life Foods in Suffield, CT, Supervalu in Harrisonburg, PA, and lastly for C & S Wholesale Grocers, Inc., as a grocery merchandiser. John had a love for music and drum corps music. He played the French horn and drums. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Sharon (Williamson) Tooker; and his sister, Margorie Hudson. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Alban and her husband Steven of Palm Bay, FL, Nadine Porfilio and her husband Richard of Feeding Hills; and a son, John S. Tooker III and his husband Marco Colalillo of, NJ; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchild; a step-daughter, Belinda Pioggia and her husband, Joseph; and special friends Lee and Annie McKay. The family would like to give a special thank you to them for the loving care they gave John. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
