HOLLAND - John Joseph Pedace, Jr., cherished son, beloved brother, and inspirational educator, coach, mentor, and friend, passed away in his home on Wednesday, June 7, 2017.  John is predeceased by his beloved maternal and paternal grandparents Frank and Mala Bongiorni and William and Frances Pedace, respectively, and his precious father John Joseph Pedace.  John is survived by his loving mother Natalie (Bongiorni) Pedace; adoring brother Todd Pedace and his wife Robin Cary-Pedace; doting sister Gianna (Pedace) Allentuck and her husband Lee Allentuck; his beautiful nephew and niece – his pride – Sontino and Cecelia Allentuck; and his loyal puppies "the pack" Mojo, Travis, and Jack.  John also is survived by a world full of loving family and friends.  While customary for the family to write this obituary, including all his many credentials and accomplishments, the love story that is John’s legacy to all of us is best shared by the words of those who loved and adored him.  By you… Hero. Fighter. Inspiration. Funny. Best teacher ever. Brilliant. Warrior. Honest. Clever. Charming.  All Class. Encourager. Best friend. Real. Loyal. One of a kind. Honorable. Coach of the Year.  All heart.  JP.  Strong. Loving.  Supportive. Dog and animal lover. At peace in the woods.  Leader of his pack. Generous.  Memorable. Shoulder to cry on. Photographer. Amazing impact on all lives he touched. Role model. Angel.  Legendary...  John will be missed dearly but will remain with us forever in our hearts.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Calling hours will be Monday, June 12 from 4 - 8 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St. East Longmeadow, MA.  John’s funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 13 beginning at 8:30 AM from the funeral home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Cecilia Parish, Main St., Wilbraham, MA.
