Hey John:
You walked into HCC Economics and sat next to the only kid sitting in the back row. You asked if I was related to Dean Pellegrino. I said I was, that's my Dad. You said I'm your cousin, John. After that, we survived Economics and many good times together as cousins and friends. Be good until I see you again.

John,
You are a hero to everyone you touched. The world has lost an amazing survivor, person, friend. We at Tantasqua will forever be touched by the Angel we had in our district. God Bless you John and you will always live in my heart.

Pedace - whenever this name came up in conversation "back in the day" it was ALWAYS mentioned in a positive light - how good a lax player he was, what a great job he did in graphics with his Van Halen logo'd stickers, hats & tees, & how everyone seemed to know him regardless of who they were and what they did (band, sport, partiers, academics, ..) & everyone liked & loved him! He would have been an unreal politician - I think he knew everyone & not one person had anything ill to say of him! From the first days of meeting him, in and around 1983, we knew we met a genuine person who actually was who you thought he was - a legit person who just was a "people person" who never seemed to have a bad day. Always smiling, always saying HI to whomever he came across .... once high school ended I lost touch as is often the case when people scatter to start their own lives, but am not surprised to hear that Pedace continued being his genuine self in service to others, especially the students and players he taught and coached for these many years. I was and continue to be deeply saddened to hear of his many health challenges but it reads that he never let it get in the way of who he was as a friend, coach, teacher, and person. My heart goes out to all who knew him, and I will continue to pray for his family and friends. Even today, the name Pedace, brings me back to those memories of wonderful days gone by, and that very special person that everyone at 'Chaug knew and loved.
