Enrico J Oliveri

East Longmeadow – Enrico Joseph Oliveri, 85, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on January 8, 2018. He was born in Springfield, the son of the late Eugenio and Ida (Mariotti) Olivieri. He attended Springfield Technical High School. Enrico was a construction foreman for Adams and Ruxton Construction Company in West Springfield for 43 years and was a proud member of the Construction Laborers’ Union Local 999. Enrico loved cultivating his vegetable garden and his fig trees. He was a hunter of small game and a fisherman. He photographed the wildlife in his backyard and loved watching the birds at the window bird feeder. He also enjoyed traveling the New England area with his wife, Dolores. Most of all he loved family time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed for his kind and loving ways. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years, Dolores V. Oliveri who died May 29, 2017; his brothers, Alfredo and Victor Oliveri; and his sister, Elena Skala. He leaves his sons, Enrico E. Oliveri and his wife Renee of East Longmeadow, and Ronald Oliveri and his wife Martha of Williamsburg, VA; his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Villamaino and her husband Anthony of East Longmeadow; 8 grandchildren, Kimberly Conant and her husband Joseph, Nathan Oliveri and his wife Brie, Adam Oliveri and his wife Maria, Natalie Burack and her husband Greg, Thomas Villamaino and his wife Laura, Susan Mantoni and her husband David, Joseph Oliveri and his wife Katie Crytzer, and Jane Rhodes and her husband Sam; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, January 11th from 6-8PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. Enrico’s funeral service will be held on Friday, January 12th from the funeral home at 8:45AM followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church, East Longmeadow at 10AM. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Church, Parish Outreach Fund, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow, Ma 01028.
