Edward A. "Edziu" Jendza

Southwick- Edward A. “Edziu” Jendza, 56, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday December 14, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Westfield, MA a son of the late Albin and Josephine (Oleksow) Jendza but lived most of his life in Southwick. He was employed as a computer machinist by Savage Arms until 2013 when his illness forced him into an early retirement. Ed belonged to the horse shoe league at the Southwick VFW, and was an accomplished pool player and even played a game with Jeanette Lee (The Black Widow). Edziu was blessed with many friends. The way to have good friends is to be a good friend and Edziu was a good friend to many. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Southwick. Ed was predeceased by his first wife, Roseann Jendza (2006); and a brother, Thomas D. Jendza (1994). Ed is the husband of Ann (Demars) Jendza and also leaves his brothers and sisters in law, Robert L. and Phyllis Jendza , Richard P. and Kelly Jendza all of Agawam, John W. Jendza and Kathy Mein of Belchertown; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Monday December 18th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Hwy. Edziu’s funeral service will take place Tuesday December 19th beginning at 9:45 AM in the Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home followed by a Mass offered at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sheep Pasture Road, Southwick. Burial will take place in the New Cemetery, Southwick at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation – Mass Chapter, 29 Crafts St. Suite 450, Newton, MA 02458-1287.
