Edgar P. Dupont

Edgar P. Dupont passed away on July 11, 2017 with his wife, Lorraine and son, Matthew at his side. He was born and raised in Chicopee, MA, the son of Philias H. and Lillian (Gosselin) Dupont. Edgar proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart. Following his military service Edgar worked in produce and retired from A.A. Scibelli, a wholesale produce company. He leaves behind his loving wife, Lorraine T. (Bushey) Dupont of Enfield, CT, a beloved son, Matthew Dupont, his wife Mariann Dupont and their children Ryan and Danielle of Milton, GA. He also leaves behind brother, H. Ronald Dupont, his wife Gwen of Chicopee, 2 sisters, Jean McCarthy and Barbara Picard both of Chicopee, a sister-in-law, Linda Powers, her husband James of Westfield and several nieces and nephews. His sister, Joan Mrozinski predeceased him. Calling hours will take place on Monday July 17th, 2017 from 9-10:30AM at the Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30AM at St. Michael Church, East Longmeadow. The burial will follow at Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery Agawam, MA.
