Diana LaZazzera

Agawam – Diana (Bitsacos) LaZazzera, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on March 13, 2017. She was born in Springfield to the late Costas and Helena “Lena” (Cella) Bitsacos on April 15, 1933. She was a graduate of the High School of Commerce in Springfield. Diana was an administrative assistant in the admissions office at Springfield College for 27 years until her retirement in 2015. She was a volunteer at the Agawam Senior Center and First Baptist Church of Agawam. Diana will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends for her fun spirit and her kind and loving ways. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband, John LaZazzera. She leaves her children, John LaZazzera and his wife AnnMarie (Remillard), Laurie Rossi and her husband Raymond, and Michael LaZazzera all of Agawam; her 4 grandchildren, Jeff, Christopher, John, and Gabriela; her brother, Gus Bitsacos of Agawam; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, March 19th from 4-8PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam. Diana’s funeral service will be held on Monday, March 20th from the funeral home at 9:45AM followed by a service in First Baptist Church of Agawam at 11AM.
