Catherine Andrews

SPRINGFIELD – Catherine Andrews, 87, passed away on March 20, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Springfield on November 14, 1929 to the late George P. and Nora I. (O’Donnell) Lunderville, she had worked as a printing press operator for Sunshine Art Studio and Olympic Greeting Cards. She enjoyed visiting beaches in Rhode Island and Florida. Predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Warren F. Andrews, Jr. on April 27, 2008 and her sisters, Evelyn Conti, Anna Carey, Lillian Larose and Shirley Langlands, Catherine leaves her children Carole A. Skorton and her husband James of South Carolina, Mark W. Andrews and his wife Joyce of Springfield and Thomas F. Andrews and his wife Julia of Feeding Hills; grandchildren Brian Andrews of Easthampton, Christopher Skorton of Australia, Catherine Okscin and her husband Eric of Feeding Hills, and Michael Andrews and his fiancée Lauren Stocker of Boise, Idaho; great grandchildren Alexandra and Harland Okscin and her sister Barbara Zalewa and her husband Frederick of West Springfield. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 beginning at 11:30 AM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM at Holy Cross Church, Plumtree Road, Springfield. Burial will be at 2 PM in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends may gather from 9:30 – 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
