Brian William Dimetres

Longmeadow- Brian William Dimetres, 38, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend passed away peacefully, with his wife, mother, and sister by his side on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Brian was a 1996 graduate of Amherst High School and furthered his education at UMass Amherst and University of Heidelberg. An automotive prodigy, Brian was in the car business for over 18 years. He was an independent importer and exporter of exotic sports cars. Brian was later an automotive technical instructor at Westover Job Corps in Chicopee. Brian was a member of the Connecticut Chapter of the Porsche Club of America and enjoyed racing cars at Limerock. Brian lived in Germany for a number of years and loved the language and culture. A kind and loving soul, Brian’s family meant everything to him. Brian will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him for his humor, positive attitude toward life, and his belief in the potential of everything and everyone. He was predeceased by his father, Brian R. Dimetres in 2009. He leaves his loving wife, Stephanie L. Dimetres; his son, James B. Dimetres; his mother, Mia Wood; his sister, Melissa M. Dimetres; step-father Kevin Weyl; step-sister, Maraina L. Weyl; and his uncle and aunt, Larry and Bonnie Dimetres. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 29th at 2:00PM in Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow.
