Anthony John Impoco

Southwick – Anthony “Tony” Impoco, 58, passed away on July 4, 2017. He was born in Springfield to the late Salvatore “Sam” Impoco and Joyce (Ducey) Impoco on January 15, 1959. He graduated from Agawam High School in 1976 and went on to honorably serve four years in the United States Navy as a Russian Linguist. Upon his discharge in 1981, Tony went to work in the family business, eventually becoming the owner and operator of Impoco’s Poultry Market in Springfield. Tony leaves behind his wife, Christine (Hellquist) Impoco and their four children, Joseph, Jessica, Jacob, and Julia, all of Southwick. Tony also leaves seven siblings: a brother, Lance Impoco and his wife Vicki; and six sisters, Lisa Gibson, Christina Nieves and her husband Raul’, Gina Impoco, Paula Bruno, Samantha Giuggio and her husband Nick, and Mia Young and her husband Joe. Tony also leaves behind several aunts and uncles, Richard and Dorothy Marek, Fred and Gina Frangie and Tony’s very special Uncle Joseph Impoco and his wife Joanne. Also left to cherish Tony’s memory, are his two sisters-in-law, Karen Carpenter and her husband Amos, and Lisa Gore and her husband Alan. Tony was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, George A. and Nancy N. Hellquist of Feeding Hills. As per Tony’s wishes, there will be no calling hours; however, all are welcome to join the family for a Funeral Mass that will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at 9:45AM at Sacred Heart Church, 1061 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills. A committal service with Military Honors will follow in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam.
