1965 – 2017

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Annamarie (Gordon) Bliss, 52, passed away suddenly on September 6, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield, MA on April 30, 1965 to the late Wilfred and Lucy (Buoniconti) Gordon, she graduated from High School of Commerce. For many years, Annamarie worked as an order processor at Hallmark Cards. She enjoyed playing scrabble and spending time with her cats, Blue, Frank, Simba and Zip. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Paul Bliss and her brothers Robert and Ronald Gordon. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children Christopher Bliss and his wife Samantha and April Bliss all of West Springfield; sister, Shirleyanna Gordon of Holyoke; her longtime partner Glen Theriault of West Springfield; brother, Richard Gordon and his wife Deborah of Cape Coral, FL; many nieces and nephews and her best friend Karen Farney of Spring Hill, FL. Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 4-6 PM at Forastiere Funeral Home, 45 Locust St. Springfield, MA followed by a service at 6 PM. Burial will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 9 AM at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 1601 State Street, Springfield, MA. Memorial contributions in Annamarie’s name may be made to the Dakin Humane Society, PO Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101.
